PUBLIC NOTICE


The Blowing Rock Town Council will conduct public hearings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 on the following items:

1. Telecommunications Ordinance Amendments (Ord 2010-05)

The Town Council will review and consider amendments to the telecommunications ordinance. The proposed amendments would allow antennas less than 6 feet in length in all zoning districts with the approval of a zoning permit. There are no proposed changes to the standards for telecommunication towers which are restricted to the CB, GB, and O-I districts.

At the February 18th meeting, the Planning Board made a recommendation approve the ordinance amendment with modifications.
2. Satellite Parking and Outdoor Dining (Ord 2010-06)

The Planning Board will review and consider amendments to the satellite parking requirements and the parking standards for outdoor dining in the Land Use Ordinance.

3. Public Facilities in Various Zoning Districts (Ord 2010-07)

The Planning Board will review and consider a new use category for public maintenance facilities to be allowed in the CB, GB, O-I, and HSG zoning districts.

At the February 18th meeting, the Planning Board made a recommendation to approve the ordinance amendment with modifications.

Any person wishing to comment on the above items may do so during the public hearings or by sending written comments to Sharon H. Greene, Town Clerk, PO Box 47, Blowing Rock, NC, 28605 prior to the Council meeting.

The public hearings will be held in the Council Chambers in the Blowing Rock Town Hall, 1036 Main Street. The Town Hall is ADA accessible.
