Two Blowing Rock students have earned academic honors at the University of North Carolina Asheville, it was announced this week by highly rated school.
Sarah Elizabeth Bastarache was named to the prestigious Chancellor’s List, while the school’s Dean’s List included Aidan Tracy Brewer.
To earn membership on the Chancellor’s List Ms. Bastarache was required to achieve a 4.0 grade point average while a full-time student.
To earn a place on the Dean’s List, Ms. Brewer also had to be enrolled as a full-time student and maintain a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.99.
UNC-A is a four-year public liberal arts university located in Asheville, N.C., with an undergraduate enrollment of 3,500 students. The school has earned a national reputation for its programs in the humanities, undergraduate research, atmospheric sciences and environmental studies.
