Mr. Barry J. Sickler
Mr. Barry J. Sickler, age 60, of 1289 Old John's River Road, Blowing Rock, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at his home.
Mr. Sickler was born February 2, 1948, in Ohio, moved to Orlando, Florida in 1958 with his family. He attended William R. Boone High School and graduated in 1966. He attended and graduated from University of Central Florida after serving his country in Vietnam.
He joined the Navy and trained as a Medic and was sent to Vietnam during the 1968-1969 invasion. He was exposed to Agent Orange, which medical experts say led to his death. He never lost his sense of humor and was gracious to the end.
