Mr. Wilhelm
Roberson Wright Wilhelm, age 87, died April 29th at his home in Naples, Florida. He was a seasonal resident of the Blowing Rock area.
Mr. Wilhelm was a native of Baltimore, Maryland and moved to Naples in 1980. He served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy during World War II, and following his military duty, he was a marketing executive for Exxon, his career taking him around the world with offices in the United States, Tokyo and London.
Mr. Wilhelm is survived by his wife, Jean Shea Wilhelm of Naples and Blowing Rock; two daughters, Kate Porter Wilhelm of Prescott, Arizona and Kimey Wilhelm Reed, and husband Mark, of Atlanta, Georgia; a granddaughter, Brook Reed Howard of Kansas City, Missouri; grandsons, John Barrett Reed of New York, and Grady Wilhelm Reed of Atlanta; and a great-grandson, Porter James Howard of Kansas City, Mo.
He was predeceased by his first wife Frederica Porter Wilhelm and a brother Richard Delaney Wilhelm.
Funeral services for Mr. Wilhelm were held on Saturday, May 3 at Trinity by the Cove Episcopal Church in Naples. Father Michael Basden officiated. A memorial service and interment will be held on June 7th at St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.

We have learned of the death of Dorothy Gage of Gastonia and Blowing Rock, however her obituary was not available by press time. We will carry the complete obituary when the Howell Funeral Home of Gastonia has it completed for publication.
