The Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the upcoming 21st Anniversary season of Sunday Concerts in the Park. This year?s schedule features some old favorites along with some new faces:
May 18 - Cans and Pans Steel Drum Band of Ashe County High
June 15 - Buck Haggard
August 10 - Pipes and Drums of the Grandfather Mountain Highland Band
September 14 - Graduate String Quartet from ASU
October 4 - Die Rhinelanders Oktoberfest Band
Begun in 1987, the Sunday Concert in the Park was immediately recognized by The Governor’s Business Council on the Arts and Humanities for its ability to blend the business community with the arts. The Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce was the first chamber to be recognized by the Governor’s Council. We have made every effort to feature many different types of music in the past and will continue this commitment to diversity and excellence as we move forward.
The Chamber welcomes sponsors in support of their 21st Anniversary season. While the Chamber of Commerce does allocate funds specifically for the concert series, they need your support to ensure that they can showcase the finest talent. All concert contributors receive acknowledgement in press releases throughout the season.
