“Painting in the Vineyard at Meadowbrook Inn”, an artist’s workshop led by local artist, Norma S. Suddreth, will be held on Saturday, April 12th from 9:30 a.m. until noon at Meadowbrook Inn during the Blue Ridge Food and Wine Festival.
The fee for the workshop is $40 which includes all needed supplies.
This workshop in watercolor invites participants from amateur to professional who are interested in learning new techniques in art to come & enjoy learning while creating a beautiful piece of art in the theme of the festival.
“No experience is needed to be welcome at this workshop”, Suddreth said. “It will be a relax venue in which we will learn a couple of easy techniques while capturing a glimpse of the festival in watercolor.
“And”, Suddreth says, “everyone will go home with a painting suitable for framing. I promise!”
Interested participants may call Meadowbrook Inn at (828) 295-4300 to make a reservation for this workshop or stop by the Chamber of Commerce at the TDA Visitor’s Center, or Meadowbrook Inn on North Main, to pick up a registration form and once completed, return it to Meadowbrook Inn.
Norma h as also donated a beautiful piece of original, framed artwork to the festival which can be won by the luck of the drawing which will be held at the festival’s close. Chances to win this artwork may be purchased for $10 with proceeds going to the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum (BRAHM).
The painting may be viewed at various locations around the community during the festival week.
