Mrs. Dula

Mrs. Anne Shore Dula, age 87, of 129 Laurel Fork Church Road, Boone, died Sunday morning March 2, at her home.
Mrs. Dula was born March 5, 1920 in Watauga County, a daughter of the late Edward Finley “Fin” and Florence Rebecca Brown Shore. She was a retired partner of The Old Home Place on Blowing Rock Road, and a member of Boone Ford Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dula is survived by two sons, Finley Dula and wife, Diane, of Boone and George E. Dula of Reinholds, Pennsylvania and one daughter, Betty Anne Daniel and husband, Harry, of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Lucille Reese of Valle Crucis; Betty Cook and husband, Stewart, of Blowing Rock and two brothers, Jack Shore and wife, Eula, of Taylorsville and Ernest Shore of Blowing Rock.
She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillie Shore Hodges and Hazel Shore Greene, and one brother, Roby L. Shore.
A memorial service for Mrs. Anne Shore Dula will be conducted Saturday morning, March 8, 2008, at 11:00 o'clock, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. Harry Daniel. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Blowing Rock.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 o'clock at the funeral home, prior to the service.
