Mark Tuesday, February 5th on your calendar for three reasons. One to enjoy a delicious dinner out, second to enjoy the fellowship of your neighbors, and third, to find out the winners of the prestigious awards presented by the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce, recognizing those who have excelled in a number of areas during the past year.
The Chamber’s annual banquet to honor businesses and individuals within the community will take place on Tuesday, February 5th at the Meadowbrook Inn on North Main Street.
Awards to be presented include: Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Renovation of the Year, Cultural Contribution, Civic Contribution, Exterior Enhancement Award and Volunteer of the Year.
Winners of the Chamber-sponsored Christmas Decorating Contest will also be honored.
Banquet attendees will begin arriving at the Meadowbrook around 6:30 p.m. with a social hour planned prior to the sumptuous buffet dinner that will be served at 7:30. Back by popular demand will be pianist Blake Pace to entertain at the piano.
Tickets are $32 per person and must be purchased at the Chamber office in the Valley Boulevard Visitor Center by Friday, February 1st.
The evening will also feature the presentation of the new officers that will serve the organization through the next twelve months, and a review of accomplishments over the past year.
