Lucretia’s Welcomes Watauga County’s Newest Citizen
Watauga County’s newest citizen arrived at the Watauga Birthing Center at 7 a.m. on New Year’s Day, making Avery Moretz the first baby born in 2008. Little Avery will rest in royalty thanks to Lucretia’s Fine Children’s Apparel, Gifts and Furniture at SouthMarke on Blowing Rock’s Main Street. The popular children’s destination for Western North Carolina donated a beautiful antique white cradle filled with beautiful custom made bedding to the first baby born at the Watauga Birthing Center in 2008. Avery’s mom, Jennifer, hopes to snap a photo and share it with our readers as soon as her new baby can settle into the new cradle. Lucretia’s employee, Elizabeth Stallings, is pictured above with the beautiful cradle, which later in the week was presented to Avery who came to Blowing Rock to meet Lucretia’s owner, Ginger Dessaint and claim the beautiful gifts. The Birthing Center is part of the Appalachian Healthcare Alliance which includes Watauga Medical Center, Cannon Memorial and Blowing Rock Hospitals. |
