Legends Come To Hayes Art Center Saturday, April 28th

Driver And Passenger Die When Car Plunges Off Parkway
Blowing Rock Fire And Rescue Resond To Call Near Milepost 290 North Of Thunder Hill
Blowing Rock Fire and Rescue were called to Milepost 290 on the Blue Ridge Parkway early Monday morning to investigate a reported automobile accident just north of Thunder Hill overlook.
Upon arrival they located the mangled automobile in a wooded area between the Parkway and a private road several hundred yards below the scenic drive.

Garden Club Resumes Seasonal Meetings On Wednesday, May 2nd
After a winter of dreaming about gardens and reading up on planting alternatives and the latest gardening techniques, members and friends of the Blowing Rock Garden Club will resume their series of monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 2nd at noon.

Volunteers Can Sign-Up To Assist Visitors To Main Street Museum
Ever since the founding of the little Blowing Rock Pictorial History Museum in 1996, a number of residents have shared their love for the village by volunteering at the Museum. “More than 50 volunteers have worked there in the past 10 years,” said Ginny Stevens, Chairman of the Museum which is operated by the Blowing Rock Historical Society. “This gift of time and sharing their love for the village, has greatly benefited the village by allowing visitors to see some of the special historical elements that have made this town so unique, as well as meeting a friendly face who will chat with them about Blowing Rock,” Mrs. Stevens continued.

BRAAC Sets Planting Day For May 12th
Volunteers are invited to join the Blowing Rock Appearance Advisory Commission at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 12th in front of Town Hall to participate in their annual Planting the Village Day.
The beautiful daffodils and tulips you observed around town, though briefly due to the recent cold weather, were annuals and perennials planted last year for all to enjoy. There will be more flowers, that were planted last year, blooming throughout the summer months.
