Mr. Spielman

Mr. Sidney “Buddy” Spielman, age 89, of Blowing Rock, died Monday, April 9, at Glenbridge Health Care in Boone.
Mr. Spielman was born June 16, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York, a son of the late Abraham and Anna Radis Spielman. He was retired regional manager for Barkers Department Stores in New Orleans, Louisiana, and served in the United States Air Force during World War II.
Mr. Spielman is survived by one daughter, Diann Craig and husband, Barry Sickler of Blowing Rock, two grandsons and three granddaughters and one sister, Rhoda Tempkin of Las Vegas, Nevada.
A private memorial service for Mr. Spielman will be held at a later date.

Hampton Funeral Service of Boone was in charge of the arrangements.
