Wilkinson Joins Village Real Estate Sales Team

Richard Puckett and Douglas L. Pegram, owners of Village Real Estate in Blowing Rock, are pleased to announce that Bob Wilkinson has joined their real estate sales team.
Wilkinson comes to the firm after a successful sales and management career in the furniture industry and as a field sales coordinator for the Daniel Lynch Sales Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan. During his career in the furniture industry, Bob held sales and sales management positions with Ethan Allen Furniture in Seattle, Wa., and with Hammary Furniture, Broyhill Furniture and Fairfield Chair Company, all in Lenoir.
“Bob will join Doug and I, along with Kathleen Austin, John Schoo and a support staff of three at our office on Main Street,” said Richard Puckett in an announcement earlier this week. Village Real Estate, located in the heart of the town on Main, is a full service company for listing and selling homes, condominiums, land and commercial property.
Wilkinson grew up in Ohio and attended Ohio State University and Cleveland State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing and a minor in Management. He and his wife, Claudia, lived in Seattle for thirteen years, where Bob was the Northwest District Manager for Ethan Allen Furniture.
Bob and Claudia’s three children, Brittney, Kelsey and Tyler, were all born in Seattle. Their family moved to Blowing Rock in 1987 when Bob accepted a sales management position with Hammary Furniture in Lenoir.
Bob’s wife Claudia is the secretary and financial administrator at Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church, a position she has held for 14 years. Brittney, Kelsey and Tyler all attended Blowing Rock School and Watauga high School. Brittney graduated from Mars Hill College and is currently living in Asheville. Kelsey is also living in Asheville and attending the culinary program at AB Tech. Tyler is a senior at Mars Hill College and will graduate in May.
Bob and Claudia reside in the Sorrento Skies area of Blowing Rock. Bob is currently serving as co-chair on the Architectural Review Committee for the Sorrento Skies Property Owners Association. They have lived in Sorrento Skies since 1990 and have seen many changes in the area over the past 17 years. The couple enjoy hiking with their golden retriever, Maggie, playing golf and lake fishing when they visit Bob’s parents in upstate New York each summer.
